Write for me nursing capstone project templates kapstone kraft paper roanoke rapids nc for money ethics aristotle nicomachean ethics welcome to st. peter's on this snowy six sunday of Epiphany the service continues the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit amen a year ago I started training for this obstacle course called tough mudders and I would go to the gym in the morning and get on some piece of aerobic equipment the treadmill or the elliptical or the rowing machine and and just try to burn some calories because I had made a promise to my team I would lose enough weight so they could push me up over the 12-foot fences so I was motivated but after a year of doing that I got really bored so I had to break up with my gym actually made Scott do it go in there and break up and i joined a different gym because they had classes and and people said you know you've done this for a while you're bored you need to take some classes so they have a lot of classes they're all different kinds of classes body pump body attack you know when you start here in the names of these classes it's probably a little hint that this is going to be heavy duty kind of stuff so you know I go to the class and I'm waiting outside the door for the class I start and I look around and there's like all these 20-something girls in their cute little outfits you know and laughing and chattering and I'm like whoa I'm in a little bit over my league here you know but I go into the class and it's kind of an amazing experience because the instructor tries to connect with everyone in the class and they they give you different options so that you don't if you don't want to do all the bouncy stuff you're marching but but you know you're using the same intensity that the people who are doing the bouncy stuff and when you're with a lot of people who are all energetic and doing something you know you find yourself doing stuff you never in a million years with thought you would do and there would be no way you would do it on your own like I was never going into the gym and doing crunches until until my abs hurt not once have I done that on my own but i'm in class doing with with people and she's like four more three more two more new like okay I could do it you know but if I were doing that by myself I want to even done the form or forget it so what I've discovered is that when you're with a community of people you push yourself you push yourself beyond what you're willing to do by yourself and when you have somebody that's encouraging you and and like going you can do it and I mean I don't know how this woman breathe much less can scream at the class what she's doing all this stuff but it's like just when you say okay I'm fun free human being I don't have to do this stuff you know it's like she's looking right at you going you can do and you're like oh I can do it and you realize that there's so much more that you can do then you might think you can do so I've learned a lot from that experience and I think that the church is like coming to class that when we come together as a community we're all in our own individual space in terms of our spiritual journeys but being with other people and and observing where they are and hearing their stories of faith can push us can help us move beyond where we even think we can move can really really be comforting and challenging and and can even put us out into our comfort zone can be healing as we we get encouraged by one another the story in the gospel today is is Jesus healing a leper now we're still in the first chapter of Mark and this is the third story of healing he claimed the guy with the unclean spirit he helped Simon's mother-in-law and now the the leper comes to him and says you can heal me if you choose and he says I choose and it heals this person so we get a real good indication from mark that what Jesus is about is healing and every one of us needs healing we all need to be healed and sometimes that can be difficult we may not be open to it we may be experiencing loss and grief that is so intense that it's difficult for us and that's why it's important to be in a community where we can help each other he'll a community that is centered around Jesus the healer was a tough week last week with the news of Tyler cop being struck down 12 years old in that lacrosse accident and rochester's a small town I know two people who know the family and one person emailed me last weekend and said can you pray for him because Thursday he was struck with the lacrosse ball in the in the spot in the 22 milliseconds that the hearts at a point in its rhythm that if you do get struck its catastrophic I mean the odds of this happening are like being struck by lightning so here is this young twelve-year-old boy in the hospital the best player on the team and and you know people are struggling and praying and gathering around the family and in and out from the house and strong and finally Tuesday morning as if you've read in the paper he died and then they're people who I know who knew him are asking me well how can God let this happen how do we how do we deal with this as as people who follow Jesus what why did this happen and that's the question that we all have is why does this happen well we do know why it happened at ball struck them at the wrong time and it's it's just a freak accident but where is God in this well what I do know is that God is in the healing presence of those who gather around the family that that God is is there because we know the story that God lost godson god son died on the cross god knows what it's like to lose a son and that the presence of God is with the family and their friends and their relatives in this very difficult time and I'm in awe of how this family has has been during this time they reached out to another lacrosse player lives in irondequoit who had been the one throwing the ball hit somebody and that person died a number of years ago and they asked him to tell the the child who threw the ball to reach out to him and tell them it not your fault so in the midst of their grief they're concerned with the the kid who flew through the ball that's an amazing story of caring and compassion and for us when we hear stories like what happened to Tyler you know brings up oh my gosh I can't imagine what that would be like but also for us when we hear stories that are like this it can bring up any grief that we've all experienced ourselves it raises up our our own unresolved grief and it's a time when when our own grief is maybe closer to the surface than it typically is that we can go to Jesus and ask for healing that we can pray and say please God help me through this and by healing I don't mean we let we totally forget what has happened to us but that we we figure out how we can take that grief that we've had and use it and move on that we don't forget if we've lost someone dear to us it's not that we we try to forget them but that we learn how to use that grief that we can take it with us that we can somehow then be more compassionate like Jesus who was moved with compassion for the leper because when we follow Jesus we want to be compassionate caring community so I have a suggestion for all of us today I've put out some paper in the parish hall and I'd like us to just write some sentiments to the family that we can send to Tyler's parents and his siblings to help them understand that we may not know them but yet we're part of a compassionate caring community that follows christ and we want them to know that they're being prayed for and that we care about them and that we want to be present to them in their grief just as Jesus was present to the leper jesus said I choose and his followers of Christ we choose you capstone investment advisors singapore pte ltd Adirondack Community College.
