Research paper on spiritual intelligence for money do my one wire thermometer arduino prealbumin synthesis essay welcome back to the sports page in our next segment we've got some very special guests in studio Angie statua and Jane Stassi who were just returned from the swimming division to Nationals and obviously didn't come back empty-handed welcome to the show guys hey thank you thanks for having us alright so start us off tell us how was nationals I think it was an awesome experience I've gone three years now and this was definitely my favorite obviously because I wanted an event but yeah I really enjoyed it yeah there's my second time going I had a ton of fun is a lot busier schedule for me last year I swam two events and this year I ended up swimming for so I'd twice as long i'm scheduled but i was a blast i i loved it and it was a festival this year so they had a swimming that indoor track & field and add wrestling altogether and that happens only every four years kind of a little mini Olympics kind of thing so that's kind of cool to awesome so you swim for events do you think did that change how your swimming when did you feel compared to the year before yeah I felt pretty awful by the end of it you're you're pretty exhausted and pretty tired out when you competing at that level like that many times it really takes a toll on your body so there's definitely tiring we'll talk about the preparation going into Nationals and just all season long like when do you guys actually start training and then when does the idea of Nationals kind of come into play and when does the training kind of pick up for that um basically from day one main goal as Nationals and that's like let's say September but you know swimming is an interesting sport because you never get a break it's year round it's always season so you know Nationals is always in mind it's the main goal so we are we start school like late-september but we all the swimmers are on campus early like three to four weeks early just to start training right away so we're actually there before school isn't starts even though I our season is technically winter so well actually said you really don't get a break here always always kind of so you're already training for next year I got you get a little break does the heck yesterday have a team meeting today we'll find out what we're supposed to do oh so the girls finished third overall team the boys seventh how does that you know rank and compared to years past for the program for girls it's about consistent where with where we've been the past few years we definitely wanted to you know break the bearing again top two but you know I think three is awesome especially like after the first day of competition we were in tenth so okay what made big leaps see it as far as the guys go over the past two years we finished second so something's a little bit of a disappointment there was an issue with two of our relays and we actually weren't able to swim them and realize actually worth double points so yeah all those points are gone so that that was kind of a big the crutch against us so yeah something that's really cool is you actually swam that you entered meter butterfly at the Olympic Trials last year and then you swim it again at this race for nationals what was it like and where does that rank because I mean like Olympic Trials that's awesome and the Nationals as well I mean it's all about that yeah so it's interesting like at the meat too there's a the meats well there's a lot of foreigners with me it's like almost forty nine percent foreign and so there's actually a lot of Olympians actually add the meat to you see people running around with tattoos and all that stuff so it's so there they've actually even been further than I have they've been the Olympics in competing but it's it's a very different atmosphere like trials you're kind of swimming for yourself you're not least swimming for a team you're just trying to do the best that you can do and it's kind of like an individual thing and then where you come here to NC 2 a's you're all working together towards one common goal so it's a really big team aspect to it so that's who that's probably the biggest difference and between the two which do you find that you enjoyed more so far um I don't know trials is it was really unique because I mean it happens every four years and the olympics are a huge thing so it was a lot of fun i was there a lot longer i was there like 12 days but at the same time like there's only there's only like five or six or seven of us from UCSD that went to trials we're here you have we had ten guys or 12 guys with divers and 15 girls so you have 27 people that are there supporting you so that's really nice like when you have your whole team supporting you you have a lot more people you can fall back on which is which I definitely like and now Angie you've had a lot of accomplishments your co-captain you still have a year left is there any accolade that really stands out to you so far in your swimming career um you know just this year was been like the best year ever and it's honestly everything i could ask for so i think just every experience I've had this year's just icing on the cake pin it oh good can you touch on any of those experiences um basically i think my freshman year I had some really strong leaders on the team and I've always liked just wanted to be as good as they were and so I think finally now being national champion I can say that I've done that yeah that's a huge accomplishment and now moving forward you're only a sophomore summer you still have time left in this program is there any goals that you have set that you just you know you want to accomplish before you graduate um I kind of talked with my coach about it and World University Games is kind of like what's in the draw and like the big picture now that I've kind of gotten a national title under my belt I mean last year first to talk about trials and then that we're talking on national title so I've gotten those two and so World University Games would be fun to represent the United States and a foreign competition I think would be really cool what about for you have any thing you want to accomplish it last year you know I think just growing as Captain would be awesome because this year um I was co-captain with Beth dong and it was so awesome and I think I've learned and next year I can do something way more amazing for the team so I mean speaking of Beth you touchin her I did a story on her a couple weeks back an amazing inspiration and just such a positive force to have with you guys yeah and so much to learn from her I feel like as well so she kind of touched on it a little bit but I kind of want you to tell everyone take me through the average day for you guys because you guys are up at like six in the morning and your practice and you practice again I remember I followed you rather than to be there at like five in the morning I didn't leave until like three so can you kind of tell everyone what about like um so we basically wake up at five yeah I'm up at five fifteen yeah we both live off campus if we got to drive to the pool and then we work out for two hours plus yeah we should get out like 8 28 30 hmm go to classic haha try to cram in food um and just let me get through the day without practice again it usually like one so 1pm and then after that like one two three usually then we'll stretch after and then you wake up and do it again it looks like it all paid off so congratulations again on your national title I think so even with us we appreciate it thank you alright we have to take a quick break but when we come back we're talking local college basketball to stay right here write for me research paper on technology dependence University at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo).
