Final capstone paper order capstone mining stock message board reportagem especial sic hungria detalhes hello folks I'm Edward Matt and I'm here today to talk about locksmith prices I have 30 years experience so I think I do know what I'm talking about there will be some people that will argue with me about pricing and that's fine at the end of the video you'll see what kind of pricing that will exist outside the average range first of all we're going to talk about service calls they typically are $55 to $85 these are average prices from a locksmith at night 85 on the high end some locksmiths like to quote $45 labor to $65 labor on up you know depending on what's got to be installed so they charge it a service call plus their labor me personally I like to give them a flat rate no matter what the thing is it's you shouldn't have to pay for our hourly rate for somebody that takes their time or doesn't exactly know what they're doing and take they take longer me personally I've been known to do jobs such as the double install within you know 10 12 minutes that's from the you know from the minute I hit the door to the minute I leave the door some people take longer it's and it's not fair to the customer you should be charging a flat rate so we're going to discuss that another item we'll talk about is wreaking some people call change locks or lock change that means where you change the pins and a lock and make sure the old keys don't work anymore and new ones not work typically three key charges $15 to $25 per cylinder some guys like to charge more for master key I don't but typically that's the range if the lock does not have a key that we can take it apart with in the first place then we have to shim it or pick it and that's anywhere from five to ten additional dollars on top of the rekey that you know as far as keys cut for a house when you're at a job like this and you're creating them keys I give the first two keys free and then it's three dollars and fifty cents per key after that unless you're talking about our slang cameras or flame Primus key prices do go up there high-security somewhat so there is a small difference you know don't forget your do not duplicate keys now there are about four dollars and fifty cents apiece now as far as the lock installation goes to install a knob or a deadbolt I'm talking about fresh install or we have to cut and drill the hole typically it's $45 to sixty-five dollars that's what a real locksmith will charge that's just the labor that doesn't include the service cool metal doors I usually charge ten dollars more because it tears up our hole saws and cutters a lot quicker than what does so yeah somebody's got to pay for that that's not us the to install a panic bar you're talking about anywhere from 55 to 150 dollars some maybe more depending on whether it's vertical rods you got a hang on it's very very expensive commercial products there would have to be hum door closers typically from $45 or $75 car keys well a lot of people like to fight about that because back in the old days you can get a set of keys made for 65 70 bucks and that's what everybody remembers but with the way everything's high-tech nowadays with key phones with resist keys with resistors and whatnot they they typically run anywhere from 135 dollars on up I wish I could give you a top price on that but I I just can't there are some sobs that are $1,500 they gotta drop the transmission just to get to the ignition it's it's a lot of money but that's what you know that's what you get when you have a lot of high-tech security and a vehicle nowadays it's changed the market you know there are guys that do only car keys and they put so much of their time and education into developing that part of their career that's all they focus on and I don't blame them you know it takes a lot of investment I've seen some guys outfit a truck set themselves up for over $100,000 that's just to put the key machines that's not even the retail but anyway that's where we stand with that as far as car open ups go car open ups typically are 55 to 65 dollars that's what an honest locksmith will charge you a flat rate because there's no discussing a service going on also and usually most guys will give you a flat rate and that's what it'll cost you when we come out during a snowstorm say there's eight inches on the ground and there's more comin most locksmiths quit for the days because they don't want to damage their truck or getting the corrects or anything there's a few of us that are out there but we charge for it if we're gonna risk our life and limb in our vehicle we typically charge $100 during that bad snowstorm to even be out there to help you we realize that you you need that help but we're going to charge for it here in my state we're not regulated so we're allowed to do that if I was in a regulated state I just shut the truck off go inside and have a hot cup of cocoa call it a day but I I enjoy being out there and doing my job and helping people but I'm I am gonna charge for no house open ups typically are anywhere from 75 to 95 dollars during a good snowstorm $125 the same thing as the car open up so it's a flat rate we don't discuss service calls and maybe this or maybe that because it's just a straight shot deal I'm we we know what we have to do and we do it so that's the average price on that now let's talk about why somebody would charge less or more we'll talk about the guys that are cheaper well the guys that are cheaper can't afford stay in business so they cut corners wherever they can and they try to undermine and undercut everybody else in their prices simply to get money in their pocket they don't pay liability insurance me personally I carried ten million dollars in liability they have no bond they probably don't have car insurance on their vehicle you're asking for real trouble when you hire on these guys because if something goes wrong and chances are well because they're some rookie that's cutting their teeth on your door the thing is who you gonna hold responsible you know because they'll just change their company name if they feel like they're gonna get sued or something and change your listings and stuff and and hide you know so anybody that would charge less than the average prices that I just discussed there cut in corner somewhere folks and usually it has to do with their liability insurance and other insurances also there are guys out there that are charging more let's talk about them I'll be I'll be nice about it they're they're scammer locksmiths will call we'll just call them scammer locksmiths they charge anywhere from a hundred percent more to six hundred percent more usually the latter they don't have liability insurance they don't need it because they changed their company name so often that they're not going to be held responsible in a court of law they they rip you off for ungodly amounts of money good example Carlton UPS they charge anywhere from a hundred seventy five to three hundred dollars house open up anywhere from 225 to six hundred dollars scammer locksmiths will charge huge money they will drill locks out just to sell you more they say they can't pick it open because it's high-security that's not true they will charge you a lot more money now that pretty much goes for locksmithing prices my view on it I know some will argue about it I don't care yeah that's my opinion if you need any more information on pricing give me a holler at capstone research papers order The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
