Do my internet of things using arduino ppt research paper about technology addiction pdf diabetes mellitus clinical presentation of hypertension technology is so pervasive we don't even think about it the world is so big and technology brings it a little bit closer that's always gonna play a part in it and so will ist there's always a new challenge day to day the next generation really is gonna have a great opportunity with technology and how it's growing it's so elusive to most people I can bridge that gap which is what I see is being able to bridge the gap between the technology and the common everyday user ist is absolutely an integrating discipline it ties together people it ties together information Sciences and ties together technology and we do this across all the disciplines ist is so relevant and it's one of the few majors that you can do what you want with it you know if you're actually interested in like something like Sciences but you can still go out there maybe work for like a medical company or like a hospital or an insurance company so or if you really like you know just like video gaming you can go out there and work for like just an actual really tech computer company the SRA major deals with cyber terrorism and a lot of cyber forensics it also has to deal with a lot of law practices regarding online crimes it's just a different facet of Technology rather than working with people you just this is more to protect people you can get a four-year ist degree at other locations some students choose to start at these other Penn State locations and then transfer to University Park or they can stay there and finish their degree when I looked at the course book before coming into this campus I saw that all the esti courses were things that I used to study on my own so I knew this is something that I'm really going to enjoy I was really looking for a school that did a lot of work with computers and a lot of work with people and brought them together and that is ist s mantra so when I heard that that sounded perfect to me I'm very involved in music I it's my passion I love it so I'm currently working to research music cognition that helps foster my creative and my musical side in high school I focused mainly in math and art I never took any computer classes in high school so that might have been a disadvantage but I really had the problem-solving skills that I got from math and design skills from art in order to you know design systems they were always introducing new classes along with the technology that came out for that time so even though you start in a major and four years later different things are going on in the technology world they're keeping up with that and they're providing different classes and different kinds of instructors from all over the world right now I am in a grad program for speech pathology technology in the healthcare field is reaching new heights every day you're finding out something else my ist degree from Penn State has really helped me at Lockheed Martin because it's given me a lot of background and things like risk management and things like working with people solving problems on a day to day basis is these preparing people to solve problems of information and technology so they really have to learn how to learn so they can keep learning the new technology learning how to do it the changes that's what is this about my favorite class was ist 240 which was the Java class and I went into that class with little to no programming experience and when I walked in and he said the first day we were gonna create a fully functional game I thought he was nuts and the game is written in Java they do the design in UML and the games exchange data between the different groups using XML so this way we integrate the three languages in one big project in the semester we ended up making a squirrel hunter game because the plethora of squirrels that are always running around the Penn State campus I thought that was actually amazing because I never thought I could do that mentorships are fundamental because they really get the student in touch with the real market what they're gonna be doing my sophomore year I did an internship with Allstate which was located in Chicago Illinois well I interned at Honeywell in Tempe Arizona my second internship was with L'Oreal I gained way too much knowledge of makeup from that internship I work with a general actually in their corporate headquarters in Connecticut I thought I'd he prepared me for my internship even after my sophomore year I thought it was well-prepared I got this job from the career fair at the Bryce Jordan Center which was huge amazing there were hundreds of companies ended up with two interviews from the career fair both of them ended up in job offers since ice tea is still considered a very young college when I first started doing interviews as a freshman I had to explain why I as to us as a senior there were companies there just for I as teenagers looking for us when I first visited this campus this happened to be the first building I saw I was like wow that's the ist building having our own building is really great we have 24-hour computer labs I can come over and do work anytime day or night sometimes at night we also have our own cafe along with just a really nice places to come and relax we have a variety of classrooms in terms of sizes and setups from the stadium style seating in the cyber tour ium to smaller classrooms that facilitate teamwork and interaction among the students so that's also right across the street from the ist floor which is a floor on campus where most of us are iced-tea majors so we get to work together we get to go to class together hang out so it becomes a community it really adds to the ist experience one of the beauties of being a nicety is your part of the event steak community because of her size in her capacity we also have many different ways for students to engage themselves in the community I am a member of West women and I stay were exposed to female leaders in the IT field I wanted to explain more to other ISD students about international culture and the National etiquette and this semester we're going to be doing a event called the business across cultures so something that you know I had an idea and they just said don't run for it outside of ice - my biggest activity is shades of blue which is an acapella group on campus one thing I just join was the ballroom team I'm starting to learn how to do lot of the ballroom dances about residences and I get to be a leader on the floor which brings in skills I've learned from ist just public speaking having to deal with large groups of people at a time I am also resident of Paterno we just camp out to get a good seat so we can which were Penn State it's really easy to find your little niche here at Penn State College of I see really helps it's like a little family here I know the faculty I know the staff they come visit my performances and more so makes Penn State a close tight-knit community versus a huge state school there's always something new to find and something new to do and someone new to meet Penn State has the world's largest Alumni Association and I thought that would help a lot especially with networking and getting jobs in the future and I think it has well I work good I have five people who graduate from Penn State it has really helped me to network with people that work and you know way to find out from Penn State or they see my jacket you know it was like hey how you doing that really is the icebreaker you can study anything at Penn State from art to engineering so it really has something for everyone and you can experience the large community the Penn State has to offer or you can make your own small community here and so it's not just you know the football school it's not just a party school you know it's my school so I think it's it's great I love it you capstone exam part 1 str 581 order Parsons School of Design.
