Capstone securities interview questions for money capsim tqm round 3 provirility review of literature hi everyone its Clarice as you may or may not know one of my reading goals for 2016 was to borrow books so today with this video I'm going to be talking about how I did with this goal I'm going to be doing videos like this for every single one of my reading goals this year so in case you're interested in them I will link them down below at least the ones that are currently out I'll try to update the list so anyway as mentioned the goal that I'm going to be tackling today is my goal to borrow more books in 2016 in total I was able to finish reading 13 books and I borrowed and I'm also currently creating one though I'm assuming I'll finish it before the year ends but I wanted to get this video up already so the 13 borrowed books that I read where the following the shadow of the wind by carlos ruiz staphon we buy up jainism yatin chronicle of a desperate all by Gabriel Garcia Marquez The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson Elmer by Jerry Allen Gillen force Apple is one the story of a childhood by Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis to the story of return also of course by Marjane Satrapi's the brief wondrous life of Oscar Wilde by Junot Diaz The Magicians by Lev Grossman fun home a family charged comic by Alison Bechdel wicked the life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire Akata witch by nnedi okorafor and illusions the adventures of a reluctant messiah is earned back and the book that I borrowed that I'm currently reading is Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman sold out that's a total of fourteen borrowed and read books though there were some books that I borrowed from the library that I didn't end up reading and it's kind of nice was able to do that because for example when you buy a book and then you will realize if you don't actually feel like reading it and it's just sitting there in your shelf it's hard to not feel pressure to read it even though you don't want to order to feel guilt from not reading it but when you borrow a library book and you realize that you're just not in the mood for it at the moment you can just return it and there's no guilt and because it's in the library there's no reason that I can't just get to those books later if I want to again different from when I buy a book because it makes me feel bad what if I give it away and then later on I realize that I want to read it again will I have to buy it again so at least with library book it's a totally different thing another thing that I find nice about reading books from the library is that you can still buy the book after if you realize after reading it the first time that you love it you know there are lots of books that I read from the library that I read and I appreciate my time with it I enjoyed reading it but there's no reason for me to buy it it was nice reading it once but there's no reason I need to own it and I returned them but there were other books that I enjoyed reading so much that it made me want to buy a physical copy if it's later on which is nice because once I do buy it I don't feel that guilt of not reading a book that I bought because I already read it and I don't feel like my money is wasted at all because I know that the book is worth that money because I already read it and I already loved it so it was really nice being able to do that there were a couple of books that I considered buy it but the one that I actually already bought that I had originally read from the library was Elmer by Jerry Alan Gillen I was able to read it and then I fell in love with it that I wanted to own it so I bought it and I'm hoping to do that in the future with a lot more books than I read from the library and it really just goes along with my motivations to eventually have a bookshelf that only has books that I love and being able to borrow books from the library and read them first to see if I actually do love them before buying them really helps with that this year I was also very pleasantly price to see that there were a lot of books that I found in the library that I was genuinely interested in reading books that I would have bought otherwise if I didn't know they were in the library and that just surprised me because in case you didn't know I live in the Philippines and unfortunately at least based on the videos that I've seen our libraries aren't as nice as the libraries in the United States for example I've never been to public library I don't really know if any and from what I know for the most part public libraries here just aren't very good in terms of having the books that I would actually want to read I don't think they're very well funded again I haven't done intensive research on this so I can't really know I talked about this and my experience with libraries and my impression of what libraries were a bit more on my video about libraries and privilege which I'll link on the screen in case you want to see it but generally the only good libraries that I know of our libraries in schools and I'm fortunate enough to be in a university that has a really good library but since it's a university library the emphasis is really on more academic books and not on books that you read just for fun so I really thought I'd only be able to borrow classics or that sort of thing from the library which was kind of okay with I ended up be able to find a lot of books then again I was genuinely interested in reading and I actually have a whole list of books on my notebook that I intend to borrow one of these days and I'm just glad I was able to find that many and it really did surprise me also as I mentioned in the reading goals video before this year I never borrowed any books for non-academic purposes from my University Library which is a shame so because I started making this a goal I started to hang out around the library more and actually look at the books that are there I had in the library a lot now there are times when I'm a bad mood and I just go to the library and look at books even if I don't plan on borrowing any makes me happier or there are times when I go to the library to study and one of my big motivation to be able to go there and study is knowing that after I studied I can go look at books after and it's been really nice something maybe a bit sad this year in relation to libraries though is that since I'm asthmatic and I sometimes get allergic rhinitis being around moldy books it's not Sara Lee good for me so there were some books that I either borrowed and then had the return or was about to borrow and then realized I couldn't borrow because they were too moldy or the smell was too strong and it was making me sick that just makes me really sad when I want to borrow a book and I can't but overall I borrowed a lot of books this year to mention I was able to read or will end up reading 14 but there was still a few books that I borrowed and didn't actually end up reading and it was really nice being able to borrow so many books instead of spending money on it because I loved reading books before deciding whether I wanted to buy it or not and I also loved not feeling guilty for not reading books that I borrowed I just love the library generally this year Durr a few times that I was even trying to push my friends to try to borrow books from the library because I don't think they even realize what a great resource they have that are not even using and I was so glad that I discovered that love for the library this year through this reading goal so how do you feel about libraries normally borrow books or buy books or they do some sort of combination with the zoo thank you so much for watching and I hope to see you next time bye [Music] do my example of technical background in capstone project Bronx campus.
